In my role as secretary, I presented a resource list at orientation for the incoming cohort, assisted in programming for the 50th anniversary of the School of Library Science, and created surveys for the students to voice their opinions on departmental issues. I led monthly meetings, and implemented social events and professional panels.

In this local community organization, I organized benefits (silent auctions, brunches, concerts) to raise money for charities pertaining to literacy and learning. I also lead a monthly creative writing workshops at a residential treatment facility.
