Technical Manager
Project on Rhetoric of Inquiry (POROI), Iowa City, IA.
August 2017- May 2018
As the technical manager of the POROI online journal, I worked to edit and inclusively format the articles prior to publication, and acted as a liaison between the editor, the authors, and the readers. I worked with editing the HTML of previous issues, managed the journal’s Twitter account, and maintained the listerv using MailChimp. I also created the Graduate Student Handbook for future technical editors and wrote a grant proposal to redesign our website.

On Hack Library School, I wrote monthly articles and contributed to weekly blog posts about my professional and personal experiences as a graduate student, in order to help other students navigate their own programs. I also edited and gave feedback on other articles written for the blog. My articles focus on a range of topics, from tips on choosing classes, to mental health, to the benefits of interdisciplinary studies. Find my articles here.
